I bought this set because I thought it would be a good introductory pack to cloth diapering, which it is. The diapers are very absorbent (use diaper detergent), and the covers have not leaked on us. So overall, it was not wasted money.This set only contains enough diapers for 1 day of newborn diaper changes (if you're lucky). You'd need to get two or three sets just to avoid doing laundry daily. We bought the newborn essentials pack for our baby. We're very happy with it. This package is just enough for one day of diapering for us. We need to wash every day, but we're fine with that. We've tried both GroVia and Thirsties all in ones, and Real Nappies are more absorbent. My husband prefers these over disposables, and cloth all in one diapers. They're easy to clean and use. The only downside to these (which also applies to any pre-fold and cover system) is that they are bulky, but that's not stopping us from buying the next size up, which we will do when our daughter is a little older.
