We replaced our BG 4.0's that we lost in a flood with the BG elementals.Though it was an expensive upgrade it was worth it. I have loved them from day one. With the 4.0 I spent most evenings stuffing diapers to prepare for the following day. I also had many mornings that began with a bath for my son because he leaked even with extra (bulky)inserts. The elemental has been a huge time saver. I no longer need to stuff diapers at night, and I can take them from the washing machine to the dryer instead of having to line dry them. They fit my long lanky son and my short chubby daughter without leaking. At night I do add extra soakers between the liner and the attached soaker but it is nowhere near as bulky as with the 4.0. It is much easier to remove solids from the organic cotton of the elemental than from the lining of the 4.0 most times it shakes out without needing to use the sprayer. Recently we have been looking into day care, though they say that they will use cloth they are often extremely unenthusiastic. When I show them the diapers and how they work they usually sigh with relief at how easy they are.The one downside to these diapers is that if you don't make sure the liner is tucked in, they may leak. I find that making sure the diaper is concave before putting it under my babies helps. I also find that running my finger along the leg elastic after I have put the diaper on helps to make sure everything is in the right place.I can't say enough about these diapers. They are as close to disposable that you can get in a true cloth diaper. Choosing to use cloth has been one of the best decisions we have made. It is saving us thousands of dollars in the long run. We deal with much less diaper rash than when we used disposable, and I'm hoping that it will help make potty training easier.

I've been using these diapers for 3 weeks with my newborn and they are great. I love the different colors and the adjustable snaps work well. I recommend you buy min. 24 so you don't have to wash them more than once a day and I also recommend using the bumpkins diaper liner with them.

I am a mom of two and have been using cloth diapers for the past four years. I have tried a few brands and have come back to bumgenius. I started with their 4.0 but now that the elemental organic is available that is what I prefer. The cotton is softer and they are AIO which is so much easier to use. They have to be pre-washed multiple times like any cloth diaper but after that initial washing period I have been very happy. No leaks and they have stayed in good condition through both kids.We also use Happy Heinys which I am happy with. They are very similar to bumgenius but come with prints, which didn't really matter to me, but they are cute. I haven't used them as long as the BG's but so far they have held up. If you would like to mix the two brands they are both nearly the same.
