It has really nice hook and loops-aka Velcro .....size seems big, but my son is 16 pounds and on small end of the poundage that is recommended for this cover .......disappointed that there isn't leg gussets .....some how I thought it was supposed to have them......so I like it a lot, but not my top favorite due to no gussets

I like these. Easy to use. Smaller size is good for newborn. We waited to use them until the cord fell off because otherwise it will rub against it. I find velcro easier to use than snaps but you need to remember to put the velcro on the wash tabs when washing, otherwise it chafes the diaper.

When my son was a newborn, I thought you had to have gussets on a cloth cover for it to work. Not to say they aren't helpful! But with the Bummis super whisper wrap cover, it seems to fit so snugly around his legs that gussets are not needed! It is also not flimsy like some other brands and the velcro does not tire quickly. (Point proven, I have been using 1 size medium since my son was born and he's now over 13 months and it still fits great, works perfectly and the velcro does not at all need replacing! I machine wash and hang to dry.) I was a new cloth diapering mommy so I bought 1 of every product I thought would work but this one is my favorite thus far; especially once they get past the liquid poo stage! (For that newborn stage I suggest using gussets, snug fitting covers or compostable disposable.) The colors also hold up through multiple washings. And the velcro is easily adjusted for skinny babies (mine is still around 20 lbs.) That's why I bought a couple more of these covers! :o)
